2022 Summer Leaders Conference Details

This year’s Summer Leaders will be a week of opportunity for NCAE members to be in community, learn new skills, plan for the future, and discuss ideas on how together we can transform our schools and state. All in-person sessions will take place at the Hilton Raleigh North Hills (3415 Wake Forest Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609). NCAE will arrange lodging for members who are traveling to participate in Summer Leaders at the same location.

“Our Professions, Our Classroom” training is July 25-27th.

“Our Schools, Our Voice” is a team training taking place July 25th-28th. Contact president@myccae.org if you are interested in taking part in that. We can have a team of up to 5 members.

There is one virtual option open to all members on July 30th, for the “Our Locals, Our Schools” training.

CCAE has about 10 members currently signed up to attend at least one of these trainings. We hope you will consider joining us. Sign ups have been extended to July 6th. Click here to register.

NCAE Convention ’22 Updates

On March 26-27th, 2022, the following CCAE members took part in the annual NCAE Convention: Heather Kaiser, Peggy Holland-Grantham, Tina Swann-Binaxas, and Tonya Washington. The annual convention is an opportunity to have a voice in the direction of our professional organization. If you have never participated as a delegate, we hope you will consider becoming a delegate in 2023.

During the 52nd annual Convention, we were welcomed by Gov. Roy Cooper and celebrated a generous donation by the North Carolina Fund for Public School Children (NCFPSC) to the Operation Cooperation Service Project. Region 6 once again brought home the PAC banner. Most importantly, we discussed and took action on several constitutional amendments and new business items.

If you’d like to know more about Convention ’22 or how to become a delegate for Convention ’23, click here to contact an officer.
