Should you accept the 4 year Contract?
Terms of the Contract:
- You give up career status
- $500 bonus per year ($500, $1000, $1500, $2000)
- This is a one time offer
- Not a permanent pay raise
Selection Process:
- You must be proficient in all Standards
- Be employed for 3 years in the district
- Teachers, Central Office Staff and Support Staff
- Evaluations and performance scores will be submited to School Board for approval
Funding:
- Only the first $500 has been funded
- The money would have to be secured over 3 legislative cycles
- There is no garuantee this will continue
- The $40 million budgeted may not cover the cost
- Funding is returned if not used.
